“Conversations among the members of your marketplace happen whether you like it or not. Good marketing encourages the right sort of conversations.” - Seth Godin
I sat down with Sean Cannell (2 million followers on YouTube) on Friday and it was a MasterClass for the ages. I’m going to break down exactly what to do on social media and how to execute it. Here we go!
Sean broke down the secret in an acronym. ASSSQ. The key is to answer questions that people ask, specific to your industry. Answer Stupid, Simple, and Specific Questions and that's where the acronym ASSSQ comes into play...please remember it!
Let’s take YouTube as an example. YouTube is a place where people go to have their questions answered and because of that, it’s important to answer those questions in the form of a video. In fact, TikTok works similarly where people use the search bar to find things they are interested in or have questions about.
When you start doing that in the form of video you begin to capitalize on attracting people to your brand because you are leading with value, by answering the consumer's questions! The picture below shows a perfect example of answering a niche question and allowing the search engine and algorithm to work in your favor.
It takes some practice and some effort, but once you take the time to write down some questions that are often asked in your field of business you begin to get some clarity. Instead of creating a video titled "How to buy a home in California" I want you to think deeper and more niche. At title like, "How to buy a home in California using an FHA or VA loan". The difference is that all social algorithms favor niche titles that are specific to all industries.
It really is as simple as that. The more you focus on answering simple and specific questions the more your content will be watched, shared, and liked. The key is to write out the titles, take time to shoot the videos, and stay consistent. Good luck and thank you for reading A Brilliant Tribe!
